v1.2.1
PC
Oct 5, 2026
Your own camera in calls and binding the database to the computer
- Video calls: the computer now sends its own camera too — a button in the call window turns it on, you can pick the camera, and virtual cameras (DroidCam, OBS) are skipped by default
- English interface: switch the language in Settings
- Device binding (optional, off by default): a copy of the database won't open on another computer even with the right password, and the wipe password also destroys copies taken earlier
- Binding an identity to "This PC only" is replaced by binding the whole database; existing identities are converted automatically
- Emergency passwords (decoy and wipe) are now free
- More reliable emergency access: wiping always removes the real database, and the decoy session can't see or change the real passwords
- Database password changes are verified: if a change fails, the old password keeps working
- Opened copies of attachments no longer stay in the temporary folder
- More reliable update check, which you can also run manually
v1.2.1
Android
Oct 5, 2026
English interface and protecting the database from copying
- English interface: switch the language in Settings
- Device binding (optional, off by default): a copy of the database won't open on another phone even with the right password, and the wipe password also destroys copies taken earlier
- The local storage key is protected by the Android hardware keystore
- App data is no longer included in Google backups or in transfer to a new phone. Backups made by earlier versions are not deleted by this update — you can remove them by turning off backup in your Google settings
- Emergency passwords (decoy and wipe) are now free
- More reliable emergency access: returning to a decoy session from the background no longer counts the real password as wrong, the decoy session can't see the real passwords, and the network stops after a wipe
- Changing the database password also re-encrypts the profile key — signing in with the new password no longer breaks
- Fixed a freeze when system animations are turned off
- More reliable app updates, which you can also check manually
v1.2.0
PC
Aug 5, 2026
Calls on the computer and photo albums in chats
- Voice calls on the computer: call from a chat, a separate call window, a ringtone for incoming calls
- You can see the other person's video during a call; the computer doesn't send its own camera yet
- Several photos as one album in a chat — just like on the phone
- Read receipts and an outgoing queue: messages and attachments go out on their own once a connection is available
- The connection recovers on its own after a failure — retries with a growing pause instead of waiting for you
- More reliable connection: a call no longer clogs the channel, and stuck connections are detected and re-established
v1.2.0
Android
Aug 5, 2026
Video calls
- Video calls: turn the camera on right during a call, switch between front and back cameras, picture-in-picture
- Video quality adapts to the connection, and on a very weak connection video turns off on its own so the call keeps going
- Incoming calls now ring: the phone's ringtone and vibration until you answer, respecting silent mode
- Ringback tones on outgoing calls — you can hear that the call is going through
- Line breaks in messages: the input box is now multi-line, and you send with the button
- Refreshed look of input fields
- More reliable connection: no more drops during calls or channel freezes, and the app repairs dead Tor circuits on its own
- Faster connection to contacts
v1.1.0
Android
Jul 25, 2026
Voice messages and fixes
- Voice messages: hold the microphone button to record, and play them right in the chat with a waveform
- Chat actions menu behind the burger button: message search and attachments in one place; tap again to hide it
- Fixed a black camera screen when scanning a QR code while adding a contact (after granting camera access for the first time)
- Attachments and voice messages are sent without waiting for a connection — they're queued and go out once it's available
- Settings: a new "Lock on minimize" switch (asks for the password when the app goes to the background) and a combined "Security" section
- Profiles: delete and switch from a long-press menu
- Interface fixes: a more compact voice message bubble, readable time and message statuses in the light theme, adaptive status icons
